Kellybrook, on the edge of Melbourne's Eastern suburbs, is a lovely oasis in the old Yarra Valley orchard belt. Set amongst lush vineyard and beautiful gardens, the winery offers an authentic wine tasting experience. Darren and Farley Kelly founded Kellybrook in 1960 and made both still and s

parkling cider from apples grown in his orchard. Today, the vines greatly outnumber the apple trees with Kellybrook being granted the Yarra Valley's first vigneron's licence in that century (1970). The winery produces an extensive range of premium quality wines, including Sparkling Blanc de Blancs and several other award-winning table wines. It is one of the few small wineries in the Yarra Valley still owned by the original family with the third generation of Kelly's now involved in the business. Kellybrook is still well-known for the apple ciders it has been producing from local fruit for the past fifty years. The first cider made at Kellybrook was the rather unique Méthode Traditionelle for which Darren won a suite of awards in the early years. For well over 20 years now, the winery has produced Kelly Brothers Ciders which are made by Phil and his brother, Gus Kelly. The ciders are all made from the pure juice of freshly pressed Victorian apples. A twice-distilled apple brandy is also produced onsite and available for purchase in the cellar door.

There are still tables available for a relaxed afternoon of platters and drinks at our cellar door. Walk-ins are welcome where we can fit you in, but bookings are definitely recommended because it’s always a busy day.

A fantastic result for our wines at last week’s Yarra Valley Wine Show!

We entered five wines and were genuinely delighted to see four receive medals:

Edenesque Chardonnay 2025 - Gold
Siwa Chardonnay 2025 - Silver
Full Moon Chardonnay 2025 - Bronze
Edenesque Pinot Noir 2025 - Bronze

The competition was exceptionally high, particularly across the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir classes, which makes these results all the more special.

We especially hold our heads high knowing that Edenesque Chardonnay was the only wine from a small, family-owned winery to receive Gold in its class. It means so much to us and is a wonderful reward for the hard work behind every vintage.

We had such a great night at the presentation last Thursday at the stunning TarraWarra Estate. It was a memorable event by Wine Yarra Valley - catching up with fellow winemakers, enjoying the top wines from the show and celebrating the incredible talent across the Yarra Valley.

We’re so incredibly proud of these results and can't wait to release the wines over the next few months.
