🐟 It’s almost time to cast your line and celebrate National Barramundi Day– this Friday, October 17! 🇦🇺

Here in the Daintree, we’re proud to sustainably raise multi‑award‑winning Daintree Saltwater Barramundi, lovingly farmed in ponds fed by the surrounding Daintree rainforest and reef. Every barra we grow tells a story of Far North Queensland — pure, premium, and proudly Australian.

On Friday, we’ll be firing up the grill at Hookabarra for our national Day and sharing our freshly caught barra with some of Port Douglas’ finest:




Each restaurant will be serving signature dishes made with our barra — and we can’t wait for you to taste the difference.

Nationally, the celebrations continue down at Bondi where celebrity chefs Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary will host the Barra Love Shack pop‑up at North Bondi Surf Club from 1–4pm.
A celebration of the iconic fish that truly brings Australians together.

🐟 Celebrate National Barramundi Day with us this Friday, October 17! 🇦🇺

We’re marking the day in true Far North Queensland style — with a special fishing event ( and a very special celebrity fisho!) at Hookabarra and a lunch special at right here in the heart of barra country!

We’re also sharing the barra love across Port Douglas by supplying our premium Daintree Saltwater Barramundi to some of our local restaurant partners—




Each will be creating their own signature barramundi dish for the day — so it’s the perfect excuse to dine local and celebrate this uniquely Aussie fish.

And down south in Bondi, catch celebrity chefs Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary at the Barra Love Shack pop-up from 1pm–4pm at North Bondi Surf Club, serving up their favourite barra creations as part of the national celebrations.

From the Daintree to Bondi — it’s all about connecting through great Aussie seafood. 💙🐟
