Keith's the potter who judges The Great Pottery Throw Down, famous for getting a bit teary over a good pot, and he hand designs every piece out of his studio in Whitstable, England. Father's Day is close enough now that the Rosie Made A Thing dad mugs have taken over a shelf of their own at Mort & Pestle.

There's one for the cyclist ("Throw on some lycra and be magnificent"), one for the golfer ("Like real sport but slower and for old people"), and a couple that just say it straight, "The Man. The Myth. The Legend." and "Brilliant Dad. Would recommend." among them. Bone china, hand-drawn illustrations, made in the UK, and reliably good for a laugh when he opens it.

The gluggle jugs Gluckigluck.com on the shelf at Mort & Pestle have a genuinely royal history behind the shape.

A pair was made for the Queen and Prince Philip in 1958 and presented to them during a visit to Britannia Naval College, and that's largely why the design became a collector's piece in the first place. We've got them in cobalt blue and green here, with cream and yellow also in stock.

Line the Mikasa bowls up together and you get a sense of how deep this range actually goes.

These are part of Mikasa's "Does It All" collection, and yes, that's the real name, with each individual pattern carrying its own too: Blue Arc, Red Damask, Leafy Green and a few others in the mix. They're dishwasher and microwave safe, glazed to resist chips and scratches, and small enough to mix and match rather than commit to one pattern across the whole table.
