How GOOD does this cake look?! 😍

Matilda whipped up this gorgeous marble cake using our Utility Cake Mix as the base, and we're so jealous we weren't at whatever party she made it for! 🀣

She split the batter into three, flavoured one with our dutch cocoa powder for that rich chocolate marble, and another she dyed with our pink gel colouring and flavoured with our strawberry extract. Finished off with a pink and purple buttercream, sprinkles, and little sugar hearts and flowers. We love it! πŸŽ‚πŸŒΈπŸ’œ

Everything you see here came straight from our shelves! This is proof that our Utility Cake Mix isn't just for basic bakes - just get creative and see where it takes you!

If you need a no-fuss cake mix for your next event, look no further πŸ§‘β€πŸ³

Western Australia produces some of the finest honey in the world, largely because our bushland remains relatively free from the diseases and pesticides that affect honey production elsewhere. Our range of honey celebrates that, and each variety has its own distinct character 🍯

Jarrah, Blackbutt and Marri (Red Gum) all have natural antimicrobial properties measured by their Total Activity ratings, and ours come in at TA35+, which is seriously potent. They have a darker, richer flavour and are used therapeutically as well as in cooking.

We then have our Banksia (robust), Bottlebrush (sweet) and Wandoo (rarer, but balanced) that all have their own distinctive flavours, plus our Wildflower that changes slightly depending on what is flowering! 🌸

We also stock Seasonal Bulk Honey on tap, which is our most affordable option and great for everyday use in cooking and baking 🐝

Did you know we sell Inca Berries? πŸ€”

Inca Berries (also known as golden berries) are little dried fruits that pack a tart, tangy flavour with juuuust a hint of sweetness 😁

They're a great source of antioxidants, vitamins, and fibre, and hold up well as a snack straight from the bag, tossed into trail mix, or scattered over salads and yoghurt bowls. Some people add them to baking too, similar to how you'd use dried cranberries or sultanas.

If you've never tried them, come in-store and give 'em a go! πŸ‘Œ

We LOVE Black Garlic & Co πŸ–€

We're now stocking this award-winning range from Black Garlic & Co, made down in Margaret River using organic WA garlic πŸ§„

Black garlic is made by slowly ageing regular garlic at low heat and high humidity, which mellows out the sharp, pungent flavour and transforms it into something soft, sweet, and savoury (think notes of balsamic, tamarind, and molasses). No actual sugar added, just naturally sweet from the ageing process ⏱️

The range includes whole aged cloves (great straight from the jar or on a grazing board), a savoury paste, an Asian-style concentrate, and a tomato chilli chutney. There's also a cherry paste and two balsamic vinegars, one with Jarrah honey and one with Goji berries, perfect for dressings, marinades, or a finishing drizzle πŸ§‘β€πŸ³

A great gift for Dad? We think yes πŸ˜‰

You may have noticed we've swapped our bigger paper bags for these ones...and we know a few of you have been eyeing them a bit warily, wondering if they're plastic. They're not! 😱

These bags are home compostable, certified to Australian standard AS5810, and industrially compostable too. They break down naturally, no plastic involved, and are a great option for in-store purchases πŸ‘

We made the switch for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the paper bags kept slipping off the strings and hooks (not great when you're mid-scoop). Secondly, we found a lot of you were filling them past what they could handle, which meant split bags and spilled product... also not great 🀣. These ones are sturdier, sit properly on the hooks, and hold your goodies without the stress. They're also better at keeping things fresh: snacks and nuts left in paper will go stale within a day, while in these bags they'll last much longer πŸ˜‹

That said, paper still has its place! It's more economical and breaks down even easier, so it's still a great choice for things like flour that will last months regardless of the bag. Use the right bag for the right job.

So please, use these when you need to! Fill them up, bring them home, and pop them straight in your compost when you're done. Same sustainable values, just a more practical bag when needed πŸ’ͺ

🌿 RASPBERRY LEAF TEA 🌿

We've been asked A LOT about this tea, so we are happy to let you all know we have finally got it on our shelves! πŸ‘

Raspberry leaf is a mild, earthy herbal tea that has been used for centuries, particularly among women, for menstrual and pregnancy-related support πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

Traditionally, it's been used to help ease symptoms like cramping, and may even support labour when consumed in late pregnancy. It's also nutrient-rich, containing B vitamins, vitamin C, and minerals like magnesium, potassium, and iron, along with antioxidant compounds called polyphenols.

You can enjoy it hot or cold, on its own or blended with other herbs for a DIY tea blend at home! If you're pregnant, it's worth chatting to your midwife or doctor before adding it into your routine πŸ‘Œ

Come grab a scoop and give it a try! ❀️

Making the switch to Natural Deodorant is a move that takes a little patience but is absolutely worth it 🌿

Conventional deodorants and antiperspirants typically work by blocking sweat glands with aluminium compounds. Natural deodorants work differently: they allow sweating (which is a normal and healthy body function!) while neutralising the bacteria that cause odour.

For the first week or two as your body adjusts, some people find they sweat or smell more than usual (the transition period is real 🀣), but just push through it! Most people find that after a few weeks their body regulates and natural deodorant works just as well, sometimes better πŸ‘Œ

Key ingredients to look for are bicarb soda that neutralises odour, arrowroot or cornflour to absorb moisture, and coconut oil or shea butter that provides a smooth, skin-friendly base. Some people with sensitive skin find bicarb irritating and do better with a bicarb-free formula, so it's worth experimenting 🧐

We stock both Milla's Pantry Deodorant Balm that's made a locally and is applied with your fingers, as well as Natural Deodorant Sticks for those who prefer a more conventional format.

Pop in and ask us which one might suit you best. 🌿

🐝 BEE POLLEN: THE ORIGINAL SUPERFOOD 🐝

Long before the word superfood existed, bee pollen was already earning the title. It's been used medicinally for thousands of years and modern research is starting to catch up with what traditional medicine has long understood.

Bee pollen is collected by bees as they move between flowers and brought back to the hive. It contains an extraordinary concentration of nutrients: protein, amino acids, vitamins including B complex and vitamin C, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants. In fact, it's one of the most nutritionally complete foods found in nature!

People use it for energy, immune support, allergy relief (small regular doses can help desensitise the body to environmental pollen over time), and general wellbeing. Athletes have used it for decades as a natural performance supplement πŸ’ͺ

The flavour is floral and slightly sweet. Sprinkle it over yoghurt, smoothie bowls, or porridge, or just take a teaspoon straight. Start with a small amount if you're new to it, particularly if you have any known pollen sensitivities 🀧

Ours is sold by the gram so you can grab exactly what you need. 🍯

Saffron is the world's most expensive spice by weight... but why? πŸ€”

Well, each saffron flower produces just three tiny threads (the stigma), and all must be hand-picked. It takes around 150 flowers to make just one gram, and the entire harvest window lasts only a few weeks each year, with flowers picked in the early morning before the sun damages the threads. It's slow, delicate, labour-intensive work, and there's no way to mechanise it... so as you can see, it's a pretty precious resource! 🌸

The good news is that saffron is very potent, which means you only need a pinch and it goes a long way! To use it properly, steep a small pinch in warm water, stock, or milk for about 10-15 minutes before adding it to your recipe. This draws out the colour and flavour, so you get that signature golden hue and earthy, floral taste all the way through the dish πŸ§‘β€πŸ³

It's a staple in Persian, Indian, and Spanish cooking (think biryanis, paellas, and saffron rice) but it works just as well in sweet dishes like custards or shortbread. Versatile and worth every penny! ✨
