We were honoured to welcome Barbara O'Shea MP and Joan Pease MP to Pennisi Cuisine last Thursday.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our store and learn more about our family's journey.
What started almost 50 years ago with John and Kata Pennisi at Annerley Junction has grown into a business that proudly serves generations of customers from our home in Woolloongabba. Today, we're privileged to continue that legacy, bringing specialty foods from around the world to our local community.
We are incredibly grateful for the support of our loyal customers, many of whom have been shopping with us for generations. It's your friendship and support that make Pennisi Cuisine such a special place.
A big thank you to Barbara O'Shea MP for her kind words and recognition of the important role local family businesses play in our community. Supporting local businesses helps keep our neighbourhood vibrant, connected, and thriving.
From our family to yours, thank you for being part of our story.
Pennisi Cuisine, Woolloongabba
Thank you to Angelo and Olga of Pennisi Cuisine for their tremendous hospitality to me and Joan Pease MP, for giving us a guided tour of their beautiful store in the heart of Woolloongabba.
Angelo’s parents, John and Kata, started the business almost fifty years ago in Annerley Junction, before moving to Woolloongabba in the 1990s. Pennisi Cuisine has become an integral part of the neighbourhood, selling specialty groceries from Italy, Spain, Latin America and around the world to locals, businesses and restaurants.
Angelo grew up in the business, and we spoke about how much pleasure Angelo, Olga and their team get from welcoming generations of customers through the doors with their cheerful, personal service.
It is so important to support our local businesses. Small and family businesses like these help make our community such a special place to live!
