Meet the faces behind Hunt’s Harvest - this is Mia!
Fourth-generation farmer, Mia leads our harvest team and is currently completing a traineeship in Production Horticulture while also finishing her degree in Psychology.
She’s the sort of person who likes to work things out for herself and will keep chipping away at a problem long after most people have moved on.
She’s never been afraid of hard work and, for better or worse, isn’t known for turning down a dare.....!
Mia is an important part of the farm today, and we’re excited to see the role she’ll play in its future.

Yesterday’s Sunset Seeding 🌅

Putting the next cover crop into the ground as we continue our move toward regenerative horticulture - building healthier soils, supporting biodiversity, and creating stronger crops for the seasons ahead.

Last week we had the pleasure of showing Cristian & Johnny from Melbourne, Dave & Alex from Bundaberg Rosengal around the farm, for them to see where the zucchini flowers they sell for us in Melbourne start their journey. Great to walk the fields and talk all things produce with them!
We then had the privilege of visiting Rosengal today. Seeing 20 seasons of hard work, care and quality up close was genuinely impressive. Perfect timing for Farm Fuel Friday too! No complaints either about coming home with bags of this morning’s fresh hand-picked green and butter beans. Thanks for having us! 💚

A few moments from the Big Rosella Field Day.
Thank you CC for putting on an event that genuinely brings community together. You are a true inspiration and a driving force in the industry.
We met some incredible people and had some great conversations that we took a lot from.
Seeing our zucchini flowers cooked with and so well received by such talented chefs is something we are really proud of ☺️

A really special day at Big Rosella Field Day. Proud to support CC and be part of such a beautiful local foodie community.
And so good seeing our flowers & zucchinis being cooked up there on stage! Grateful to be a part of it 💛

Tonight we got to enjoy our very own zucchini flowers

From humble beginnings on our farm to one of the best dishes we’ve ever eaten - it was a pretty special, full-circle moment for us.

Seeing and experiencing the end result the way others do is what makes it all worthwhile.

We hosted our first group of visitors through Hunt’s Harvest today, as we step into our agritourism journey.
A great group of kids from St John’s OSCH - hands-on the whole way, planting seeds, putting zucchini seedlings in the ground, and learning how it all works from start to finish.
We covered how plants grow, what they need, and how food moves from farm to plate. Seeing the zucchini flowers and where the veg actually comes from was a highlight!
They finished by harvesting their own parsley to take home.
Good to get the kids outside, learning something real, and seeing where food actually comes from - not just the supermarket. Definitely think there were a few future growers in the group!
A great first visit on the farm ☺️

Meet the faces behind Hunt’s Harvest - this is Lola!
Fourth-generation farmer, Lola looks after the nurseries, does all of our seeding and much of the planting that gets the crops started.
Some of you might have already met Lola around the farm!
She’s our resident animal lover and one of the most thoughtful, caring people you’ll meet, always looking out for those around her.
Lola is about to start a traineeship, Certificate III in Rural Operations, continuing in the family footsteps on the farm and we’re excited to see where it can take her! ☺️
