🐾 Meet Evie! 🐾

Evie enjoys the simple things in life... long walks around Woonona and searching for the occasional hot chip left under a picnic table at the park. 🍟🐶

But her favourite part of the day? Stopping by Hawthornes Meats for plenty of pats from the team. ❤️

She's become part of the furniture around here and always brightens our day when she pops in to say hello.

🥘 LAMB SHANKS: QUICK, SIMPLE AND PACKED FULL OF FLAVOUR ♨️

Check out our dinner! 🤤😋

Chris was eagerly awaiting one of our family favourites. With only 15 minutes of prep, these flavoursome delights were incredible easy to prepare and were melting in our mouths once completed.

🥩 Season your lamb shanks in salt and pepper and brown all sides

🥕 Fry off some onion, garlic, carrot and celery.

🍅 Add tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, thyme, bay leaves and beef stock..

⏰ Slow cook for 6 hours on High or 8 hours on Low.

** We slow cooked these on high for 5 hours, then for the last hour we put them in the oven at 180°C to give them an extra boost of flavour.

We served the shanks up with mash potato, but can be served with any sides of your choice, or even can be enjoyed just on their own!

If you haven't tried lamb shanks before, we strongly recommend you do. We guarantee your tummy and your tastebuds will approve!
