We’re going to be busy behind the scenes this week, harvesting and creating lots of beautiful blooms for a large event coming up this weekend. 💐

To make sure we can give it all the love and attention it deserves, we won’t be taking any further flower orders this week. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

🌸 HELLO SPRING — AND HELLO TO OUR NEW FOLLOWERS! 🌸

With today marking the first calendar day of spring, and quite a few new faces joining us lately, I thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce myself and our little flower farm.

I’m Sheree, the one-woman show behind Yargullen Flower Farm, located on our family farm at Yargullen on the beautiful Darling Downs.

We are primarily grain and hay growers, but tucked away amongst the paddocks is my little patch of flowers — a place that has very quickly become one of my absolute favourite places to be. 🌸

Yargullen Flower Farm is a small, seasonal flower farm specialising in locally grown cut flowers. I grow primarily from seed, nurturing each crop from planting through to flowering. I then harvest the blooms fresh and design and arrange the bouquets that eventually make their way into customers’ homes.

Dahlias are my particular love, but throughout the seasons you’ll also find ranunculus, poppies, snapdragons, stocks, zinnias, lisianthus, tulips and plenty of beautiful fillers growing here.

I primarily service our local communities of Oakey and Pittsworth.💐

Another beautiful flush of ranunculus is blooming at Yargullen, and I’ve just added the next round of fresh bouquets to the website for the coming week.

🌸 Italian Poppies 🌸

Long, slender stems topped with the most beautiful big, blousy, papery blooms — our Italian poppies are beginning to put on quite a show.

Each flower unfurls like crinkled tissue paper, in the prettiest shades of blush, peach, pink and white. They’re delicate, whimsical and just a little bit wild… and I absolutely adore them. 🤍

As production increases, these beauties will soon be available in bunches of their own, as well as making special appearances in our seasonal Market Bouquets.
