So proud of our gorgeous Watermill Wedgwood having had a super couple of days at the Homes & Acreage August Dressage Competition. Very excited to score 67.9 (a PB at this still new level) in the 5.1 and a win in both Advanced tests on Friday backed up with two good tests in the Medium yesterday for 2nd & 3rd.

None of it would be possible without the amazing support network we have the good fortune and privilege of having around us. A massive thank you to Chris Wilkinson SLH Performance Horses for his invaluable help over the past few months. Not only for the time and effort he has consistently put into coaching us at home but for the additional support and encouragement out at competition amongst his own insanely busy schedule. To Nat Roach and Lyn Spiers thank you for completing our competition support family, I’m so grateful to have you in our corner. A big thank also to Emma Weinert O'Rourke for her amazing insight and help each month.

We have so very, very much to work on but I come away from each competition feeling like we improved on the last and I am so very grateful to have such an amazing horse to work with.

Big thank you as always to the staff at Boneo Park for a well run event, to Homes&Acreage and other sponsors for their support and to the judges and volunteers for their time.

And of course a special thank you as always my darling Case Wientjens for his never ending support and belief in us.

Extremely proud of our boy Watermill Wedgwood 💖🥹.

Overall winner of the Victorian Amateur Owner Rider Group 2025-2026 Leaderboard for Medium as well as being accepted onto the Victorian Senior Development Squad again for the 2026-2027 year.

It takes a special stallion to look after his amateur rider so generously and we pinch ourselves daily that he’s in our stable!

💖💖 The stunning Flowervale Wistella 💖💖

The last foal (via embryo transfer) from our super producing Florencio mare, Flowervale Florencia, who we still mourn the loss of every day. Wistella is now rising 3yo and has been thoughtfully and gently started under saddle by SLH Performance Horses where she has taken each step of the process in her stride.

Wistella’s Pedigree boasts:

• Two time World Young Dressage Horse Champion and successful FEI mare Woodlander Farouche (Fuerst Heinrich x Dimaggio)

• Two time World Young Dressage Horse Champion and successful FEI Stallion Florencio (dec) (Florestan x Weltmeyer)

Flowervale Wistella is by our stunning imported stallion, Watermill Wedgwood (Wild Child x Florencio) who is licensed with Oldenburg, Westfalia and Hanover and accepted KWPN and currently competing successfully at Medium/Advanced with an amateur rider.

Her dam, Flowervale Florencia, consistently produced beautiful, elegant performance horses with super movement and exceptional temperaments and her foals have always been in high demand.

Wistella is an extremely elegant filly who possesses super movement, excellent conformation and exceptional temperament with an impressive presence.

She is looking for her future dancing partner only because we had already retained her elder sister. That said, if we do not find her perfect partner we will of course be more than happy if she stays!

With the focus having been on the baby of our team, Flowervale La Femme, for the first part of the year, Watermill Wedgwood & I have been a little quiet on the competition front so last weekend we ventured down to Boneo Park for the Carlton Performance Horses Leader Equine Dressage Spectacular to blow out some cobwebs.

We (I) were a bit competition rusty but so pleased with my boy to achieve a 4th & 6th in a strong field in the medium and two AOR gold medals.

This weekend we backed it up by heading to Werribee for the Whittlesea Plenty Valley Dressage Club Open & Restricted Championship yesterday and the Victorian Dressage Club Autumn Competition today.

Yesterday we dipped our toe in the water at Advanced. I was so proud of Wedgwood for giving me two super calm, relaxed tests. Our first test had some costly mistakes for a midfield finish and an AOR 1st place. I was super happy with our second test with a 66.25% in the 5.2 and fifth overall with another AOR 1st.

Today we stepped back into medium and I was super happy to have him really ‘with me’ again winning both the 4.2 & the 4.3 on over 66%.

A huge thank you to the organising committees Carlton Performance Horses, Whittlesea Plenty Valley Dressage Club and Victorian Dressage Club for a beautifully run events as always. Thank you as alway to the sponsors for their support of these shows and to the judges and volunteers for their time. Special thank you to Exclusively Equine and VALA Equestrian for the gorgeous prizes supplied.

Big thank you to my ever patient coaches Peter Fischer and Emma Weinert O'Rourke and a heartfelt thank you to my competition support family NatChris RoachWilkinson and Lyn Spiers for their endless help and for making these weekends even more enjoyable.
