Malurus Miniature and Pygmy Goats Malurus Miniature Goats is a small, family run stud aiming to bred friendly, healthy Australian Miniature Goats and Pygmy Goats. We were hooked.

Our love for Australian Miniature Goats began in 2014 when our son gave me two young wethers as a birthday present. Miniature goats are very intelligent, curious and amusing. We decided they were perfectly suited to our lifestyle and property so we bought three beautiful does in kid and a promising buck kid. With our initial breeding herd started, we look forward to actively growing and improving our bloodlines and sharing the joy of owning Australian Miniature Goats with others. Malurus is registered with the MGBAA .

On our way home from Queensland with our precious cargo, Narion Vincenzo P95.72. Vinnie will bring exciting new genetics to our developing herd of Pygmy goats, including both Grindr and Stetson genetics.
We feel so privileged that Trevor and Lynne have allowed Vincenzo to join us at Malurus. I fell in love with him the moment I saw his birth announcement photo and he has not disappointed. Vincenzo was born to be a buck. From his dishy head to the strength that starts in his neck, chest and shoulders and blends back to his rump. He stands correctly and really has the wow factor we have been looking for. It’s going to be an exciting journey watching him develop and seeing the kids that he should produce.

SCAM ALERT!
Baby goats are so cute but unfortunately their photos are often used to scam people out of their money. 💰 Today, another breeder notified us that our photos were being used by a scammer. Thanks, Amy ❤️.

Buying from a verified registered breeder might cost more than from a back yard breeder or unverified source but you are guaranteed to get what you paid for and you should receive after sales support. We see so many goats advertised as ‘Pygmy’ or ‘Nigerian Dwarf’ that are not.

We welcome visits and lots of questions from potential buyers because we love our goats and want them to go to the best homes. Part of this is making sure that the potential buyer is set up adequately and understands the care the goats will require.

Goats have different personalities and, as such, suit different purposes. We pride ourselves on matching goats to the right people, not just making a sale.

We are lucky to know lots of other great breeders around the country and we look out for each other. If we don’t have what you want or are too far away, we will recommend another breeder that may be able to help you.

We are currently compiling our waiting list for our beautiful high percentage Pygmy babies. Please contact us via pm if you are interested.
