Another busy day at JAD today! Stew was planting forage sorghum this morning, then cattle work this afternoon putting CIDRs in stud cows to kick off their AI program. Contractors arrived to cut chopped silage from grazing barley crop, to prepare us for the next drought.

Congratulations to the Job family, Cumnock, for topping the heifer section at Fridayโ€™s Dubbo Stock and Station Agents Spring Feature Female Sale, with heifers sired by their JAD Speckle Park bull!

As reported in The Land newspaper: โ€œThe 10 Shorthorn-Speckle Park heifers, August/September 2025-drop and ready to join, offered by LV and SM Job, Moombi, Cumnock, sold for $1940, or 517c/kg.โ€

The heifers were sired by a bull the Job family purchased from the 2023 JAD Sale, who is still going strong in their herd!

We ran our Spring 2025-drop (W-drop) stud heifers through the yards yesterday, so Roger Evans could fat and muscle scan them for Breedplan. Here is a little video of them as they head back to the paddock. Loving the consistency we are achieving in our breeding these days! ๐Ÿ™Œ
