What if we told you the pineapples you'll be enjoying in January 2027 are already being prepared today?

At our farms, our MD2 summer variety is currently being forced into harvest timing to ensure beautiful, sweet Pure Gold Pineapples are ready for the summer season next year.

Pineapples don’t simply ripen when we need them to. Our growers carefully manage the crop months in advance, encouraging the plants to flower at exactly the right time so fruit develops for the peak summer period.

That means the decisions our team makes today will determine the quality, sweetness and supply of the fruit you'll see on supermarket shelves more than six months from now.

It’s another reminder that pineapple farming is all about patience, planning and plenty of hard work behind the scenes. Every pineapple has a story, and this one starts well before it reaches your fruit bowl. 💛🍍

Inspiring the next generation of agriculture 🌱🍍

Recently, the Kids to Farms Project welcomed the Year 10 Agriculture students from Rockhampton Grammar School to Valley Syndicate Farm for a hands-on look at the pineapple industry.

The students were treated to a farm tour and pineapple education session with John Cranny, gaining firsthand insight into what it takes to grow, harvest and deliver Australia's favourite pineapple.

Experiences like these simply can't be replicated in a classroom. From paddock to plate, students had the opportunity to see the passion, innovation and hard work that goes into our industry every day.

The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many sharing how much they enjoyed seeing the process in action and learning more about the journey from production through to distribution. Most importantly, the visit sparked curiosity and a greater appreciation for agriculture and the people behind it.

At Pure Gold Pineapples, we're proud to support initiatives that help connect young people with farming and inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders.

A big thank you to the Kids to Farms Project, The Rockhampton Grammar School and John Cranny for helping make the day such a valuable experience.

Golden morning after a lot of heavy rain last night! 🍍🌦️

The rain has passed, and the sunshine is lighting up the fields at Morgan’s Farm, Glass House. There’s something special about seeing our Pure Gold Pineapples glistening in the morning light after a good soaking from Mother Nature.

Fresh air, rich soil, and a golden glow across the farm - it’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. 💛

🌧🍍 Good morning from Brooks Farm at Bungundarra, Central Queensland!

The crew is already hard at work harvesting Pure Gold Pineapples as the clouds roll in and rain heads our way. While most people are reaching for an umbrella, our growers are out in the paddock making sure Australia's favourite pineapple keeps making its journey from farm to table.

It’s just another day in pineapple country - early starts, muddy boots, and a whole lot of dedication.

Out on Valley Syndicate farm, they are already thinking months and years ahead. One of the ways they give their newly planted pineapple tops the best possible start is by laying down hay to protect the young plants through winter.

The hay helps lock valuable moisture into the soil, keeps the ground cooler, reduces w**d growth, and creates the perfect environment for strong, healthy pineapples to grow.

It's a simple practice, but it's another example of the care, planning, and hard work that goes into every Pure Gold Pineapple long before it reaches your fruit bowl.

Because great pineapples don't happen by chance - they're grown with patience, passion, and a little help from Mother Nature. 💛🍍
