It has been brought to my attention that my post about the funny cuckoo pen chick may have seemed like I was casting negative thoughts about one of the best breeders of pekins we have in WA.
That is far from the case.
I tagged her only because she has cuckoo, she knows her stuff about the pekins, so much more than me, and I thought it was interesting about how random recessive genes can appear in a line so many years later. I mentioned the breeding background in the pen only because I always like to reference where bird lines come from.
It was never EVER meant to be stating anything negative about that breeder, who has always been very kind, very helpful and is genuinely one of the most wonderful humans I have met in this chicken journey.
If anyone thought otherwise, again, I am truly truly sorry. I definitely did not even think that it could be seen in a negative light, so again, I am very sorry. It was not meant at all in that way.
