You will never be free until you realise this…. These spoken words are so powerful. Autumn in the orchard is a beautiful time to sit and embrace the change of season. It does it quietly and respectfully in its own time.

Want to know why we love autumn 🍂 a think it is such a lovely time of year. We give thanks for the crop the trees produced and continue to look after the cherries already waiting patiently on the trees 🍒 We have had perfectly timed rain and warm weather all ready for the trees to start to shut down and “go to sleep” as we growers say 😴

🍒Cherry season might feel far away… but this is where it begins.
🍃Right now, the orchard is being mechanically topped — the first stage of our winter pruning.
🪚It might look intense, but this initial pass creates a consistent framework across the whole block.
👐🏻After this, we move through every single tree by hand. That’s where the detail work happens — shaping, balancing, and setting each tree up for the next season.

It’s all part of producing the large, high-quality cherries we’re known for.
