Lockwood Vineyard

Lockwood grows great grapes to produce boutique wines. Grapes are hand picked and wine is produced in small batches using traditional methods.

Lockwood Vineyard will be at the Cherry Festival, Saturday 3rd December with our great wines, fresh hazelnuts, local olive oil and seasonal produce. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Very pleased with our most recent wine awards: Gold medal for our 2018 Chardonnay, Silver for our 2017 Shiraz Viognier and our 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Showcase Magazine ( new release category) really liked these wines. wines

Delighted to receive a gold medal for our 2017 Savignon Blanc and a silver for our 2018 Blush (rose) and 2018 Pinot Gris from Wine Showcase Magazine. The Sav Blanc will be featured in a future Wine Showcase Magazine.

Pruning might take more time this year. This cane, from last year's growth, is almost 5 metres long!!! And it's not the only one like this. It's like a jungle out there!

Terry and I enjoyed a few relaxing days after our hectic harvest season at Batemans Bay. We had the best Thai food we have ever eaten at Eat at Siam Restaurant. Food servings were large and the Thai flavourings were wonderful. Chef Pem is a most charming host. We will be returning there whenever we go to the Bay. You can sit out on the deck and enjoy lovely water views. Idyllic!

We will be releasing our 2016 Chardonnay and our 2015 Blush ( Rose) at the Young and Region Farmers' Market tomorrow - 18th February.

The nets are going on; the grapes are looking good and the property is looking great. We are looking forward to a good year.

Lockwood Vineyard will be at the Young and Region Farmers Market on Saturday. On offer will be our wines, cherries, boysenberry liqueur jam, cherry jam and hazelnuts. Our apricot liqueur will make a great Christmas present. Hope to see you there.

Finally finished pruning our oldest cab sav vines. They are 20 years old. They were certainly a challenge! It took 52 hours. Only 1 block to go! The shiraz, the chardonnay, the tempranillo, the sauvignon blanc and the pino grigio are finished and awaiting bud burst.
