Demerara Distillers Limited has broken ground on a US$10 million expansion of its facility on the Caribbean island of St Kitts, which was established in 1996. The modernisation project in Bird Rock, aims to increase the company’s operational footprint in the region.

The new complex will feature expanded bottling, packaging and state-of-the-art warehousing capacity.

The development will also feature dedicated retail and commercial spaces, alongside an interactive Heritage Centre, modelled on the one at DDL's corporate headquarters in Diamond, Guyana.

The St Kitts Heritage Centre will highlight the history and cultural legacy of rum, while offering curated tours and immersive experiences.
