Read a conventional chiller's AMC scope and half the line items are about oil: sampling, top-up, filter changes, separator checks, disposal.

On a 20-storey tower, the outdoor unit and the top-floor indoor unit aren't in the same conversation unless someone derates for the vertical run between them.

Long refrigerant pipe runs and large elevation changes affect capacity and oil return in ways a ground-floor installation never has to consider. Ignore that derating and the top floors of a high-rise underperform quietly for the life of the building.
