কিছুদিন আগেও রাজধানীতে প্রসিদ্ধ বগুড়ার দইয়ের সুনাম কে পূঁজি করে নানা ধরনের ভেজাল দই বাজারজাত হচ্ছিল। ফলে রাজাধাণীতে বগুড়ার দই এর নামে এক ধরনের বিরুপ প্রভাব সৃষ্টি হয় মানুষের মনে। বগুড়ার দই এ এখন আগের সেই স্বাদ নেই। বগুড়ার দই এখন ঢাকাতেই তৈরী হয়। এরকম আরো অনেক কিছু। যা ধীরে ধীরে এই ঐতিহ্যবাহী খাবারের সুনাম কে কলঙ্কিংত করছিল। ঠিক তখন বগুড়ার কিছু উদ্দোক্তা যারা রাজধানীতে বিভিণ ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত। তারা এই প্রসিদ্ধ খাবারের সুনাম ধরে রাখতে রাজধাণীতে প্রসিদ্ধ বগুড়ার দই বাজারজাত করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। আর এই দই বাজার জাত করার উদ্দেশ্য জন্ম হয় “সামান্তা ফুড কোড” এর। একজন নারী উদ্দোক্তা এই সাহসী পদক্ষেপ গ্রহন করেন। ২০১৩ সালের ফেব্রুয়ারী মাসে রাজধানীর বিজয় স্মরনীতে যাত্রা শুরু করে “সামান্তা ফুড কোড-১”। রাজধাণীতে শুধু দই বাজারজাত করে একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান দিনের পর দিন পরিচালনা করা সম্ভব এই ধারনাও প্রতিষ্ঠিত করে সামান্তা ফুড কোড।

A man named Gouro Gopal Chandra Ghosh was migrated from India to Sherpur area of Bogra, whose profession was producing dairy products. It was his family profession from his ancestors. He started to produce yogurt at Sherpur and sell at Banani area of Bogra walking 20 km from his place everyday, and became popular within short time. He then started a factory at Bogra sponsored by the prime minister of then Pakistan, who was very much impressed by the taste of his yogurt. His yogurt became more and more popular, and he started to send his yogurt in different parts of the country to sell. The yogurt shop “Gouro Gopal Dadhi Ghar” established by him and now running by his son, is still doing it’s business, although having difficulty from the competitors, and is the oldest yogurt shop at Sherpur. The milk is first heated to about 80 °C (176 °F) to kill any undesirable bacteria and to denature the milk proteins so that they set together rather than form curds. The milk is then cooled to about 45 °C (112 °F). The bacteria culture is added, and the temperature is maintained for 4 to 7 hours to allow fermentation. Types of yogurt
