Once upon a time, Bangladesh was not a food secure country. Therefore, food security was the major concern in this country to let the people survive. Fortunately, we have already achieved the food security which is helping us to survive. The answer to this question points to the issue of “food Safety” which is a recent matter of tension. ul substances at different pre-production, production, and post-production stages which is ultimately being consumed by us and is causing different health hazards both in the short-run (such as food poisoning, gastric, bloating etc.) and long-run (such as cancer, liver and kidney failure, diabetes etc.). Even, the child food is not free from hazardous materials. Keeping that in mind, SADP has been established in 2017 with the noble aim of providing safe livestock and poultry products to the hands of the consumers. Such an attempt is believed to contribute not only in fulfilling the nutritional requirements of the consumers but also to the overall economic development of the country by providing employment opportunities to the rural households. As “Good Health and Wellbeing” is the 3rd goal of the Sustainable Development Goals of the Government of Bangladesh and holds the mainstream of 7th five year plan, SADP aims to being a part of it. The recent covid-19 situation also calls for the adequate supply of safe and nutritious livestock and poultry products to develop antibody in the body. In such a situation also, SADP aims to keep its supply chain smooth for the betterment of consumers as well as for the long-term survival of this farm in the market. About SADP
The mission of SADP is to provide safe and healthy livestock and poultry products to the consumers on day-to-day basis. The vision of SADP is to create a brand of safe livestock and poultry products while creating job opportunities for the vast majority of rural households. Currently, SADP deals with high-quality dairy products such as ghee, butter and cheese while its plan is to expand its supply chain through packaged milk by the year 2021. Besides dairy products, SADP’s product list also consist of 100% pure daily necessary items such as mustard oil, honey, powdered spices, different kinds of pulses such as lentil, mung and maskalai. The production of most of these products is performed at the own farm of SADP whereas few products are initially collected from the rural farmers directly. In each stage, the purity of the products is administered by the owner and the proof of purity is acknowledge to the consumers through official page of SADP.
