What started as an idea around atmosphere, craftsmanship and gathering continues to evolve naturally.

Sakaba was never meant to be a static concept. Our weekly open evenings are the foundation — a place defined by distinctive cocktails, refined bar bites, curated music, and a deeply personal yet highly professional approach to hospitality.

The connection between Zeeland and Japan has always been part of our DNA — a mutual appreciation for purity, precision, seasonality, understated elegance and the ritual of hosting. A sensibility that quietly shapes everything we create.

From the beginning, Sakaba was intended as more than a recurring evening. It is a space for encounters, craftsmanship, and collaborations with chefs, artists and culinary professionals whose work resonate with the same spirit.

A one-time collaboration with Chef Yoshi of Sākas Gent.

On Sunday 21 June, the world of Sakaba welcomes Chef Yoshihito Mizuno for an intimate afternoon where Japanese omakase craftsmanship meets the laid-back living room atmosphere of Atelier Paul Morel.

Expect an exclusive 8-course omakase experience, signature Sakaba cocktails, sake, elegant wines, carefully curated music and the kind of Sunday that slowly unfolds exactly as it should.

Less formal than a traditional omakase counter. More intimate, atmospheric and built around the pleasure of gathering.
