This was reached about a month ago. We honestly didnât expect to sell 1000 Kg during our first year.
Looking back now, itâs interesting to see how this project came about and further developed. We started off with a bunch of big ideas. Along the way we realized which ones matter the most to us: Upcycling spent grain & collaborating to reduce waste. Step by step the project started to take on a life of its own and that feels very exciting. This has been quite the fun journey and we couldnât be prouder. ð

Next up: Aiming to upcycle 500 Kg of spent grain by the start of summer 2023! ðª

Each one references a different beer style, in name and flavor:
ð«Red Fruit Stout: Stout beer is known for its distinctive chocolate aromas. Add some red fruit in the mix and you have yourself a killer combo. A granola version of this? No-brainer!

Alban is the one in charge of this durable operation, making sure the spent grain is dried in a consistent way. After a night of drying, the spent grain is ready for reuse.

4. Pour everything in a thermos and keep it in a warm spot for about 8 hours (or longer if you prefer your yogurt to be thicker)
5. Cool the yogurt in a refrigerator for a couple of hours

Did you know ð¹ð²ð³ððŒðð²ð¿ ððŒðŽðð¿ð can be used as a starter to make a fresh new batch? All you need is a bit of yogurt, milk, a pot and fire.. and a ððµð²ð¿ðºðŒð ð¥ž
Start by:
1. Heating the milk to 82*C
2. Cooling the milk back to 45*C
3. Adding your leftover yoghurt to the milk, after which you can stir the whole

2021 has been an interesting first year for us. There were loads of hurdles and many lessons to be learned, so we want ððŒ ððµð®ð»ðž ð²ðð²ð¿ððŒð»ð² who had part in it. All your positive reactions are driving us to continue this journey into 2022.
Ofcourse, we'll keep working together with our amazing partners , and to deliver quality, circular granola and we hope to experiment with other projects as well.
