Our 55 tasters had the opportunity to sample nearly 1,000 Sauvignon wines, while also discovering the beautiful Varaždin region, host of the 2026 edition.

🇭🇷 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯 – 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝗳 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 🍇

Yesterday, our 55 judges tasted the final series of nearly 1,000 Sauvignon wines from 25 different nationalities.

Beyond the tastings, our experts also took part in enriching masterclasses and vineyard visits, discovering the diversity and authenticity of local wine producers.

They visited the Mađerka vineyard for sightseeing and attended a masterclass dedicated to Pušipel (Furmint).

🤓 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗠𝗕: creating meaningful connections between wine experts, wine regions, and producers.

We want our tasters not only to evaluate exceptional wines, but also to understand the stories, traditions, and terroirs behind them.

After 3 intense days of tasting, discovering, and learning, it is now time to head home… and wait for the results 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬.

Varaždin welcomes 50 judges from 25 nationalities, gathered to taste nearly 1,000 Sauvignon wines from 25 countries. One single grape, yet an incredible diversity of flavours that never ceases to amaze.
