In case you’d like to discover some excellent wines and different wine regions of Germany, we still have a few spots left for this Thursday’s German wine tasting.

We’ll have several good Rieslings but not only those, and wines, including red wines, from several regions.

Everyone who came to our last German wine tasting felt bad for those German wine skeptics who didn’t!

Wine pros say it’s time to retire the Champagne flute — for good reason. A wider wine glass lets Champagne’s aromas, texture, and complexity shine, making every sip (and every food pairing) more rewarding. From fried chicken to Korean pancakes, experts explain why the right glass can transform...

Already have plans for the 18th of June? If not, this German wine tasting promises to open your eyes to the breadth and depth of German wines.

We'll taste wines from several different regions, and not all Rieslings!

Flashback to a rainy but tasty wine tour of the Douro Valley and side visit to the Fonseca Winery in the Setúbal peninsula.

We visited and tasted wines and ports at , , , .and.soul, , , and and found something to love at each stop. We had some excellent advice from .essence.

The visit underscored my long-held belief that Portugal produces some of the best wines in the world and generally offers excellent value for money.

Flashback to a great wine tasting with .fotopoulos.359 at .bruxelles. Our wine tastings usually feature native grapes, but in this case we made an exception for Greek-French blends and were not disappointed.

We learned how many Greek wine makers (and not just Greek wine makers) used to focus on French grapes like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon because people both in Greece and elsewhere already knew them. How many people can correctly pronounce Agiorgitiko (a classic Greek red grape variety)? It’s A-ghyor-ghyítiko. Then, once people and importers began to trust the wine makers, they began to introduce and in some cases even resurrect native Greek varieties for more complex, interesting blends such as Assyrtiko and Sauvignon Blanc.

Today Greece boasts a huge variety not just of French grape wines and blends but also pure monovarietal Greek wines including award-winning Assyrtikos, Xinómavros, and Agiorghítikos. Watch this space! There are lots more pleasant surprises on the way.

Flash-back to our recent southern Italian wine tasting with Filippo Marino.

We tasted a connection of excellent white and red wines from grapes including Grillo, Fiano, Falanghina, Nero d’Avola, Negroamaro and Aglianico.

Based on what people ordered afterwards, the two Falanghinas were the favorite whites and the Negroamaro the favorite red.
