The association’s objective is to promote historic, independent family breweries which bring genuine added value to the identity and authenticity of Belgian brewing methods. This is a worthy cause, since b**r brewing is a skilled craft which has been passed down from generation to generation in Belgian families over the centuries.

Every year, Brussels’ Grand-Place turns into one giant celebration of Belgian brewing, bringing together breweries, traditions, discoveries and a few thousand very good reasons to stay for another round. 🍻

One weekend. One square. Hundreds of Belgian b**rs to discover.
And no ticket needed to join the celebration - free entrance! 🎫

A village square, a few games nobody quite remembers the rules of, music playing somewhere in the background and familiar faces turning up as the evening goes on. The kind of kermesse where children, parents and grandparents somehow all end up around the same tables. 🎪🎠

In Silly, these moments have been bringing people together for generations, and the local family brewery has never been very far away. 🫶🏼

We said one quick stop.
The bikes have been outside for two hours… 🤭
Somewhere between the winding roads of the Flemish Ardennes, a café terrace and a conversation that deserves another round, the ride tends to become secondary. 🚴🚴‍♀️

Around Oudenaarde, cycling has always been as much about the stops as the kilometres: and Brewery Roman has been part of the local scenery for generations. 🚲

Some detours are worth taking your time for.

Years of handling, checking, adjusting and learning, until gestures become instinct and experience no longer needs instructions. 🙌🏼

In a family brewery, craftsmanship lives in these details: in the people who know the process by heart, and in the knowledge that quietly passes from one generation to the next.

Machines evolve, methods improve…
But there are still things only time, practice and a good pair of hands can teach. 🫶🏼
