Almost one week ago, we had the honour of hosting the celebration of 50 years of Oranjetours, a family-run travel agency with two offices, located in Heist-op-den-Berg and Putte. This event kicked off with a travel fair, with exhibition stands and presentations spread throughout our entire venue Driem.events . This fair concluded with a festive reception to celebrate this 50 year milestone, invite some clients and acquantances and especially thank several exceptional staff members for their years of expertise and dedication.
Big thank you to oranjetours for your trust and we are wishing you many more years of big and small (ad)ventures.

SUCH A PROUD MOMENT! Today, Huis Van Dijck - catering & events received the Sustainability Award at the Gault&Millau Event Catering Awards 2026; presented at Maison de la Poste in Brussels. A recognition that means a lot to us, especially because it rewards the work we have done together with and . Sodexo Belgium Paradise City Festival
Paradise City challenges us every year to think differently about event catering and to keep pushing the boundaries of what sustainable food at a festival can be. From a fully plant-based offering for crew members, VIP guests & festival visitors to responsible sourcing, reducing food waste, using reusable materials and measuring the carbon footprint of our dishes. A big thank you to everyone who contributed, challenged ideas, found solutions and helped make it happen. 💚

This week is one with new beginnings, celebrating a new milestone for Huis Van Dijck. Africafé; a delicious dining spot just opened on the 1st of September in the heart of AfricaMuseum✨.
Everyone's welcome; whether you're visiting the museum of just dropping by for a coffee, lunch or dinner. Our menu brings together the best of both worlds, featuring Belgian culinary classics alongside dishes from Central Africa. Our menu offers sharing plates, healthy lunch options, savory mains and desserts. For this menu, we collaborate with Comptoir Malakit to serve vibrant colors and aromas that truly characterizes rich African cuisine. We also have some options available for our youngest visitors.
Africafé invites you to drop by, discover, taste and be pleasantly surprised. We look forward welcoming you AfricaMuseum in Africafé from | Tue-Fri: 11:00-17:00 and | Sat-Sun: 11-18:00.

We love to treat our guests with our final course! Our (wedding) dessert buffets are designed to be an unforgettable final course; from rich chocolate tarts to vibrant fruit pastries and everything in between, we ensure there's something to satisfy every sweet tooth. There's nothing more gratifying than seeing our lovely guests enjoying the beautiful creations of our in-house pastry chef.

"First of all, I would like to highlight the exceptional quality of both the service and the food. Nathan and his teams (unfortunately, I don't have everyone's names) demonstrated remarkable kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness. It is rare to encounter service of this caliber, with waitstaff who were always smiling. A huge thank you to Huis van Dijck for playing such a major role in the event's success and for providing a memorable experience for our guests. A special thank you to the chef(s) for preparing such an absolutely delicious buffet. Everyone was blown away by the beautiful presentation and the quality of the dishes. It was undoubtedly one of the best buffets we have ever had. The continuous replenishment and the variety of choices were particularly appreciated. Tables were cleared almost immediately, a true testament to your team's professionalism. As for the décor, it deserves just as much praise as the food! The styling of the lounge areas, the dining room was simply perfect, creating a magical atmosphere. Finally, the entertainment was simply breathtaking and left all our guests amazed.
The praise we have received, and continue to receive, regarding the evening speaks volumes about the impact of your services, which were highly appreciated. We once again offer you our sincerest thanks!"
