Our Story / Notre Histoire / Ons Verhaal
The area of the land is called after «Couturelle», an evolution of Cicero’s meaning of “cultura”. We called the place «Garden» due to its charming environment and its ideal farming-size to cultivate the plot under handcfraft conditions. The place is also particularly bucolical. Which brings us to the origin of the vineyard’s name : «Jardin de la Couturelle».
The vineyard was created in 2018 planting vines on a very old grassland that was converted into biological farming since the early 90’s. An outstanding nature, impressive terroir, consensus with agro-ecology, and our focus on cool-climate viticulture.
The first harvest will take place in 2021 with micro-vinifications and overall patient winemaking (without additives) in order to produce authentic, singular & original terroir wines. The first bottles will be released in 2022 and 2023.
Today the vineyard accomodates about 1500 stocks over 0.83 ha. There will be more planting and wine stories soon...
