The International Muslim Student Association of Leuven (IMSAL) was founded in 1984, to provide a platform and meeting space to the Muslim students in Leuven. Founded primarily to cater for the needs of Muslim students, today however, IMSAL’s sphere of operations has expanded considerably, catering for the various needs of not only Muslim students, but their families, the non-Muslim students, and also the general Muslim and non-Muslim community of Leuven and Belgium at large.

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"There is no day when God sets free more servants from Hell than the Day of 'Arafa. He draws near, then praises them to the angels, saying: What do these want?"

🌙 “Making the Best Use of the Seasons of Worship”

📅 Today - Sunday, 17th of May

As we approach the blessed first ten days of Dhul Hijjah — among the greatest days in the sight of Allah — we will reflect on how to truly benefit from these special seasons of worship, not only emotionally, but in a way that brings real change to our lives and relationship with Allah.

📌 The session will cover:

• The virtues of the ten days of Dhul Hijjah
• How to prepare spiritually for these blessed days
• Turning worship into lasting transformation
• Practical ways to increase in worship, dhikr, Qur’an, and sincerity

We ask Allah to allow us to witness these blessed days and to make us among those who strive sincerely for His sake.

We look forward to seeing you all, in shaa Allah.

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ، وَمُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ الْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ فِيهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ الأَيَّامِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ يَعْنِي أَيَّامَ الْعَشْرِ ‏.‏ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلاَ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏"‏ وَلاَ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ خَرَجَ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِشَىْءٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: There is no virtue more to the liking of Allah in any day than in these days, that is, the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. They (the Companions) asked: Messenger of Allah, not even the struggle in the path of Allah (Jihad) ? He said: (Yes), not even the struggle in the path of Allah, except a man who goes out (in the path of Allah) with his life and property, and does not return with any of them.

✨A 14-week series, with weekly sessions, for Sisters✨

Are you eager to deepen your connection with the Quran? Then this is for you 😌

A course for sisters who who want to learn the most frequent vocabulary of the Quran. This series is designed to enable you in recognizing and understanding up to 65% of the words in the Quran.

Starting 20th May, 2026, sessions will take place every Wednesday evening, 18:00 - 20:00, at the KUL Students’ Mosque (IMSAL) women’s prayer room.

Join us, and make the Quran come alive in your heart and mind with every word you understand.
