A heartfelt thank you to our UK partner for hosting a remarkable dinner at , celebrating the wines of La Falize.
The evening brought together passionate wine lovers, thoughtful pairings, and bottles that truly expressed their place of origin.
A special highlight was our Pinot Noir 2019 — rarely opened, yet showing beautifully on the night.
Grateful to everyone who joined us for such an elegant and memorable evening. 🍷

Vertical tasting of La Falize for the Wine Club of the EU Commission ⚡️ To make things more interesting, the organisers asked if they could add a Meursault in the mix from an excellent producer: Buisson Charles. We happily agreed and the outcome exceeded our expectations. La Falize was voted as the best wine of the night and we were praised for our Savagnin. These wine enthusiasts were extremely interesting and their tasting notes valuable. Many thanks to all ⚡️ Belgian wines have a lovely future ahead 💥

“The vineyard at Domaine La Falize is ready for its well-deserved rest. 🍂🍇 The harvest is complete, and now the vines embrace their autumn transformation, a breathtaking display of warm golden hues and fiery reds. ⁣

In the fall, the vines prepare for winter dormancy, drawing nutrients back into their roots to store energy for the next growing season. The leaves, no longer needed for photosynthesis, put on a final show before they fall to the ground, enriching the soil for the cycles to come. ⁣

It’s a time of quiet beauty, where nature reminds us of its rhythm and resilience. Have you ever seen a vineyard glowing like this in autumn? 🍷✨ ⁣

After months of care, dedication, and braving the elements of nature, we completed the 2024 harvest of ! 🍃🍇⁣

This year has been challenging – wet and unpredictable weather kept us on our toes, but that’s part of the craft. In winemaking, you only get one shot, so we gave our all to balance nature’s elements and bring out the best in every grape. 🍇 ⁣

Our team worked tirelessly, adapting to every twist and turn nature sent our way. From hand-selecting the best clusters to carefully monitoring sugar and acidity levels, every step was essential to preserve the unique character of our wine. 🍷 ⁣

Now, the magic moves to the cellar: the grapes will slowly transform into a wine that reflects this year’s complexity. We’re grateful for the patience and expertise that will be captured in each bottle. It promises to be a wine that showcases not only our terroir but also our dedication and passion for quality.⁣

Here’s to the challenges of the craft and the promise of a new vintage! 🍷💫⁣

Soon we’ll begin the grape harvest here in La Falize, Belgium! 🍇 But before we start picking, we’re holding off for a little while longer… Why? It’s all about achieving the perfect balance between acidity and sweetness. Acidity gives freshness, structure, and helps the wine age beautifully, while the sugars add complexity and determine the alcohol content. Harvesting too early can lead to sharp flavors, and too late, the wine can become too sweet. By being just a bit more patient, we ensure every bottle has the perfect harmony. 🥂🌿

The growth process of Chardonnay grapes in , progresses through various stages, heavily influenced by the country’s unique climate. Although Belgium is not traditionally known as a wine-producing country, our country’s temperate climate offers surprising advantages for grape varieties such as Chardonnay.⁣

In the month of September, the growth process reaches its peak. The grapes have had the entire summer to ripen slowly, thanks to the cool nights and mild days, resulting in a perfect balance of acidity and sugars. This is when the grapes reach their optimal ripeness, and winemakers in the region ready themselves for the harvest. They carefully choose the right moment, as a few days can make a significant difference in the taste and quality of the wine. The grapes are hand-picked to ensure only the best clusters are used for winemaking, and are then immediately taken to the cellar for pressing and fermentation. 🔜
