High above the village of Nieuwrode, on the Bogaerdenberg, we are working to preserve something increasingly rare: a landscape where biodiversity, heritage and food production grow together.
🍎 Hundreds of historic apple, pear and plum varieties
🍇 A young regenerative vineyard inspired by pre-industrial viticulture
🐑 Grazing sheep helping manage the land naturally
🌱 Gardening practices that work with nature rather than against it
🐝 Space for birds, pollinators and countless other species to thrive
For generations, farmers understood that healthy soil, diverse landscapes and local food systems belonged together. Many of those practices have been forgotten. We believe they are worth rediscovering.
Led by founder Dirk Vanden Eynde and a handful of passionate supporters, we are helping keep these traditions alive while exploring what regenerative land stewardship can look like in the 21st century.
We recently captured the Bogaerdenberg from above. The result is a beautiful glimpse into this unique place.
