Japan Street Nights
Two evenings shaped by fire, flavour and Japanese street culture.

At Valke Vleug Winery, Japan Street Nights brought the spirit of Fukuoka’s yatai culture to the vineyard from sashimi and handrolls to karaage, ramen, different cuts of Wagyu and live BBQ, all unfolding between the vines.

Preparing for The Craftsmanship of Yakitori.

At the Butcher’s store with Luc & Axelle De Laet, the first preparations for our Japanese yakitori weekend are underway selecting, cutting and preparing every part with the precision this craft deserves.

On 22 & 23 August, chefs Karin Yakumaru, Kim Seungwhan and Takada Masaki bring the yakitori tradition of Osaka and Kyoto to Valke Vleug.

Nose Arata x Sparkling Sake & Wine

On 28 & 29 August, Chef Takeru Nakai and Chieko-san of Nose Arata travel from Osaka to Valke Vleug Winery to present their refined satoyama kaiseki.

Each course brings together sparkling sake with sparkling wines from the Valke Vleug and the Vinetiq Collection, creating a refined dialogue between Japanese gastronomy and two sparkling worlds.

At Valke Vleug Winery, our bees are an essential part of the estate’s ecosystem. By pollinating the flowers around the vineyard, they contribute to biodiversity and help maintain the natural balance of our landscape.

Throughout the year, our bees gather pollen from the flowers in bloom, creating delicious honey that reflects the changing seasons. We’ve just harvested our summer honey, carefully collected together with our beekeeper Jannes, and it’s now ready to taste.

Beyond producing our own honey, our beehives are a reflection of our commitment to regenerative viticulture, where we work in harmony with nature, nurture biodiversity and encourage a flourishing terroir around our vines.

Because exceptional wines begin with a thriving ecosystem.

Three renowned yakitori masters from Japan come together at Valke Vleug Winery for an exclusive two-day open-fire dining experience.

Travelling from Osaka and Kyoto, chefs Karin Yakumaru, Kim Seungwhan and Takada Masaki bring the traditions of authentic Japanese yakitori to Belgium.

Across multiple open grills, every course is prepared over live fire and paired with a carefully curated selection of sake and cool climate wines from Valke Vleug Winery and Vinetiq.

A Master Sake Sommelier and one of the pioneers of sake within Belgian fine dining, Jonas has spent years building bridges between Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary gastronomy.

This summer, he brings together exceptional chefs, producers, and rare sake at Valke Vleug Winery, creating a series of experiences where hospitality, flavour, and craftsmanship come together.
