Every time I highlight Provence wines, I take great pleasure in reminding everyone that Provence doesn’t just make rosé🔥
CHÂTEAU SAINT PIERRE is proof of that 🤩

Nestled in Les Arcs-sur-Argens across 50 hectares of vineyards, the estate benefits from an incredible terroir set on clay-limestone soil under the direct influence of the Rocher de Roquebrune. Since being taken over by the Forestier family, the property has enjoyed a serious refresh: organic conversion, updated cellars, and a meticulous focus on freshness 🤩
The result❓White, red, and rosé cuvées that shine with balance and an incredible quality-to-price ratio 🍷

I discovered this domaine over the summer and it was a real favorite. 4 ranges beautifully crafted across all 3 colors (main grape varieties Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault for reds / rosés, and Rolle, Clairette, Ugni Blanc for whites) 🍇

Last evening in Provence before a busy week back in Brussels 😭
And we’re not doing things by halves with this absolute gem of a Domaine I love 🍷

Syrah 📆2020

Grapes 🍇 : 10% Syrah❗️
👁️ Intense ruby red color with purple highlights❗️
👃 Rich and complex nose. Aromas of black fruits, cassis, blueberry, blackberry, black pepper, tapenade, violet, to***co, moka and licorice with a hint of garrigue❗️
👅 Fruity and rich in the mouth. Well-structured, ample, round, dense, fresh and velveted with melted tannins on the palate. Flavors of black fruits, kirsch, ripe red fruits, black cherry, cacao, blackberry pepper, leather and licorice with torrefied notes. Long finish on spices❗️
Another must-have magnum for the cellar 😁‼️

👁️ Deep ruby red color with purple reflections❗️
👃 Fruity and rich nose. Aromas of blackberries, plum, cassis, cherry, raspberries, licorice, pepper, violet and leather with smoked notes❗️
👅 Fruity and complex in the mouth. Well-balanced, supple, round, ample, round, silky and powerful with ripe tannins on the palate. Flavors of ripe red fruits, cherry, cranberries, blood orange, licorice, mushrooms, cacao and to***co with a peppery touch. Long and ample finish on red fruits❗️
Heads up, it’s emptying out at lightning speed‼️

👁️ Pale yellow color with light green reflections❗️
👃 Fresh and rich nose. Aromas of fresh citrus, lemon, grapefruit zest, green apple, white flowers, thyme, maquis and flint with a saline touch❗️
👅 Frank attack, fruity and fresh in the mouth. Well-balanced, supple, round, complex, ample and lively with a pleasant acidity on the palate. Flavors of citrus zest, white peach, grapefruit, fresh almond and herbal notes with a subtle wet-stone minerality. Long and saline finish❗️

❗️⚠️ BIRTHDAY BOY ⚠️❗️
Yesterday for my birthday, the plan was a hotel stay + restaurant in Chablis to celebrate... but fate had other ideas 😅

Super late arrival, so the restaurant was closed. No panic though, we came up with the ultimate backup plan 😁
