My first Mother's Day. I am truly grateful to God for giving me this opportunity to be a mom to my beautiful baby boy. After years of waiting, I finally get to hold my precious baby 🩵👶
Being a mom is not easy. It takes a lot of patience and sacrifice. Sometimes it means that you have to wait to go to the toilet, you have to schedule a bath and at times that won't happen as well. You have to consider your clothing so that you can feed the baby when needed. No more long nails or nail polish. Cooking is done in parts unless baby settles with dad. Trips outdoors are limited because it is just safer and easier to be at home. No more loud TV shows. Sleeping 7 or 8 hours is no longer available. If you get 3 hours straight, that's considered great. Sometimes you get tired, so tired. But God gives the strength to move on each day. Moms are truly given extraordinary strength, I now believe that will all my heart.
But in all the chaos and sacrifices, there is that smile, the little cooing, the gentle touch on your arm, the little toes peeking below the hem of his tiny trouser, the tiny hand that envelopes your finger, the peace you get from seeing that baby fresh from heaven, that makes it all worth it. I see God's love for me when I hold my baby boy. Truly blessed.
Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms and moms to be ❤️❤️❤️
