Stop expecting parents to be the only ones making the effort to keep relationships alive.✋🏼

Somehow, the moment you have kids, the expectation becomes that you’re the one who has to pack the diaper bag, load the stroller, buckle everyone into car seats, work around naps, and drive across town.

But why?

If you want to see the kids, you’re more than welcome to come see them too.👏🏻

Parents already have enough on their plates. We’re juggling feedings, tantrums, schedules, and sleepless nights. We shouldn’t also be responsible for carrying every family relationship.

And saying, “You never bring the kids over,” isn’t fair when the invitation goes both ways.

The people who truly want to be part of a child’s life will make the effort. They’ll call. They’ll stop by. They’ll ask what works best instead of expecting parents to rearrange everything.

Relationships aren’t built by convenience. They’re built by showing up.

The road to our house works both ways. 🤍
