In less than 12 months, the Long Table Experience has travelled across Botswana, bringing people together, plate by plate. What started as a simple idea has grown into a moving celebration of place, culture, and connection, reimagining Setswana cuisine, spotlighting our landscapes, and quietly reshaping the country’s culinary narrative.

For our latest experience, the was set cliffside within the scenic rolling hills of Mokolodi Nature Reserve. Located just outside the capital city of Gaborone, the experience offered a rare kind of city escape where the pace softens, nature takes over, and connection feels effortless. Here, the table was set against open landscapes and winter skies, reminding us that you don’t have to go far to experience something truly transporting.

The Long Table Experience was never just about the table. It was about the people around it.

Set against the wild beauty of Chobe National Park and the flow of the Chobe River, something deeper unfolded: laughter shared, stories exchanged, connections formed. Strangers became familiar. Moments became memories.

The isn’t just something you attend - it’s something you leave with. Fuller. Softer. Wholesome.

A beautiful table doesn’t happen by accident; it’s curated.

With WOOLWORTHS as our Table Setting Partner for the in Chobe, every detail became part of the story. From thoughtfully designed pieces to elevated textures, this wasn’t just homeware; it was craftsmanship meeting atmosphere, design meeting destination.

When quality leads, the table not only looks good but also feels exceptional.

Along the flow of the mighty Chobe River, our Long Table Experience unfolded against one of Africa’s most remarkable destinations: the vast wilderness of the Chobe National Park.

As glasses clinked and stories flowed, the ever-changing theatre of the wild played out just beyond the table where conversations paused often, not out of silence, but out of awe. Because in Chobe, the view is never just scenery, it’s the experience itself.
