🥬🌶️ Kimchi is making headlines—and it’s more than the flavour!

🔬 Early research shows that a specific bacterium found in kimchi can bind to tiny plastic particles called nanoplastics. Researchers are exploring whether this could help remove them from the gut, but eating kimchi hasn’t been proven to do this in humans.

Microplastics are tiny plastic particles from everyday things like packaging, synthetic clothing and tyres. They can end up in our food, water and the air we breathe. Nanoplastics are even smaller.

Meanwhile, that tangy crunch needs no introduction! Add a spoonful to your next meal. 🥢🔥
