00:09am woke up to our LPD’s ( Livestock Protection Dogs) going crazy…barking up a frenzy. Went out…nothing…except reflective springhare eyes bouncing away in the paddock. An hour later.. it started again.
This morning took the dogs for a run, there at the goat shed I spotted leopard tracks…a mere two metres from the shed.
I’m so proud of Lily and Zoe…they are nearly two years old, and doing such a great job protecting their herd.

So this evening we started Driving School instructions…,our staff are learning to drive so we started with the theory..boy! Did they ask questions and take it all in..a fun learning experience.

SO IT’s HAPPENED!!!Our trail camera was vandalized.. the culprit has not yet been identified…we have a suspect…photos taken from trail camera as crime was committed.

1. Very large
2. Completely grey
3. Ragged edge of ear
4. Whiskers on chin

If seen in your vicinity, make way for him..do not apprehend…is expected to be quite irritated..leave him be. He will move away,eventually.

Damages: Trail camera still operates, only front glass needs to be replaced.

Excited to reveal…New guest tent is up, outdoor shower and loo in place..hope this will be completed next weekend. Furniture and finishes to happen over the next few weeks. Our little camp now sleeps six…Hope to see you all soon!

My first post of the year. Desert Bloom has had some rain , enough to put some water into our pans. With the rain, comes the elephants. And new life..the bush has blossomed into a lush green veld, the wildbeest herd has had theee new babies and we found a Korriebustard with two little chicks.
