BELIZE RIVER VALLEY HOT SAUCE WINS GOLD IN EUROPE
A small business that started from home in the Belize River Valley is now earning international recognition after winning a gold medal at a European hot sauce competition.
Rancho Fever Pepper Sauce, owned by Larry Sutherland and his fiancée Shahira Evans, captured the award for best sauce in its category, marking a major milestone for the Belizean entrepreneurs.
Sutherland says the business began two years ago from the comfort of their home with a vision that stretched far beyond simply selling pepper sauce.
“We are not focused on winning as much but more on making our hot sauce another great product that comes out of our beautiful little country Belize,” Sutherland shared.
He says their long term goal is to build a brand that not only represents Belize internationally, but also inspires young people across the country to pursue their own dreams and businesses.
According to the Sutherland, they are especially passionate about bringing recognition to the Belize River Valley area, which they believe is filled with talent, culture, and untapped potential.
“There are many great things that come out of the River Valley,” he said.
The entrepreneurs also hope that as the company grows, they will be able to give back to the community that supported them from the beginning.
Together, Sutherland and Evans are committed to building a unique Belizean brand that proudly represents both the Belize River Valley and the country as a whole on the international stage.
