Welcome to the Edenvale Community Gardens & Education Center! Located at 4460 Bradner Road in Abbotsford, BC, this Community Garden & Education Center is a joint effort of the Edenvale Retreat and Conference Center,EDL BC and the HOME Society. The large property surrounding the Retreat and Conference Center has been enjoyed by visitors from across the world for over 30 years. The HOME Society has
been supporting men and women with disabilities on the site for the last 16 years. We have partnered in many programs in the past including therapeutic riding for the disabled. We both believe in sweat equity and making good use of the land we share. The Edenvale Community Gardens & Education Center will help our community access fresh, healthy foods, learn about gardening, and enjoy the benefits of our natural world. Our mission is to promote gardening for production, outdoor education for children and adults, and to create a community environment. The garden features 10 x 20 foot plots of developed flower and vegetable gardens, a restored historic barn with covered riding ring, a spring fed pond and a beautiful educational forest walk. We strive to utilize and promote best practices in sustainable agriculture - practices that are sustainable both for the land, and for the people using it. We are committed to keeping the gardens pesticide free. ECG is also a home for Bradner Elementary School to enjoy outdoor learning experiences and fun.
