HIRING! Acme Inn is looking for a part time employee to work in the bar and liquor store. Must have Proserve and VLT certification prior to starting. Weekend and evening work required. Acme Alberta: the 1st Acme Hotel ca1910 & the 2nd on the same lot 2025. More👇

The current hotel replaced the first one when it burned down about 1912. It is not clear whether it's a totally new building atop the old foundation, or if some parts were salvaged and reused. The local history book is rather quiet on the subject.

The two buildings look much the same, and appear identical or near identical in footprint.

We had a grand time, met so many interesting people, enjoyed some chicken wings and learned a lot about this venerable old institution. Everyone was so welcoming and happy to have us there. Stop by if you're in the area and tell them you saw this post.
