There's nothing better than seeing the next generation get involved in agriculture.

Lyle was excited to see a loyal customer's family having success in 4-H Alberta with progeny from our bulls. We were also happy to support Kase by purchasing his steer this year.

Great work, Kase. It takes a lot of time and dedication to raise a project like that and it showed.

Lyle recently had the chance to jump on Lifestock Podcast and talk cattle.

The conversation covered a little bit of everything, feeder cattle, breeding cattle, genetics, data, feed efficiency, and how all the pieces fit together in a cattle operation.

At Highway 21, we spend a lot of time thinking about how one decision impacts the next, whether that's genetics, performance, marketing, or managing risk. It was great for Lyle to share some of our experiences and talk about what we're seeing in the industry.

In case you missed it! We had the opportunity to be featured in Progressive Cattle Magazine, where Lyle talked about composites, heterosis, and the direction the cattle industry continues to move.

At Highway 21, we’ve been using composite bulls for years and have seen the value they can bring through added growth, fertility, and hybrid vigour. Along with that, our veterinarians use DNA scoring to help provide more insight into heterosis and hybrid vigour in each bull.

No matter the breed makeup, we believe good cattle start with strong data, functionality, temperament, and performance that works in real-world operations.

We’re proud to support local 4-H Canada however we can, even if it starts with one little bottle calf like Buttercup.

Giving kids the chance to get involved early and learn responsibility, feeding, and livestock care is something that matters to us.

Congrats to Brett and all the future farmers and ranchers at the Irricana 4-H Beef and Multi Club on a successful show season. Keep up the hard work.
