This month, we officially introduced our Sparkle line at Healthy Planet - one of the country’s leaders in health and wellness products. Today, I had the opportunity to lead a staff training at their brand new location at Yonge & Eglinton in Toronto - it was a great way to connect with the Healthy Planet team and show them what makes our Sparkle drinks special.

New product alert!! Introducing, Heartwood’s first ever perry 🍐🍐🍐

Last fall, facing an excess of Pear Juice, Matt decided to ferment some of it. Over the winter, we’d try it from time to time as it gradually developed flavour and softened the bitter edges that accompany an early fermentation - patience is truly the key here.

I’m happy to say that The Pear Necessities is now ready for you and it is delicious. Pear juice contains some non-fermentable sugars, which means that there’s just a touch of sweetness carried through from the original fruit. And the cider is bright, acidic, and a pleasure to smell and taste.
