Between our farm in Agassiz and our greenhouses in Rosedale, we care for 35+ million bulbs at a time. This doesn't include our non bulb flowers (peonies), which we grow in Rosedale and our farm in the Yukon Territory. Our largest crop is the cut tulips! We supply 85% of the tulips in Western Canada.

The Harrison Sunflower Festival is Taking a Hiatus

While BC's original sunflower festival will not be held this summer, there’s much future agritourism fun to anticipate at the Onos family farm!

Our founder Kate Onos-Gilbert and family will be hard at work over the coming months, making improvements and infrastructure investments at the Agassiz farm we acquired last year.

A summer of building and cultivating new attractions will allow for more spectacular festivals in the future, including the 2025 Harrison Tulip Festival planned for next spring. Enhancements that are in the works include expanding the Secret Garden area adjacent to the Farm Store, creating compelling new visual photo-opportunity stations, and developing additional agritourism farm experiences for visitors.

Chillwack Sunflower Festival

Chilliwack Sunflower Festival brought to you by the creators of the Chilliwack Tulip Festival

We are flower growers at heart so it only made sense to extend the tulip festival concept to another beauty, the Sunflower. Where the tulip symbolizes the beginning of spring and the end of winter, the Sunflower is a strong symbol of summer.

For our first annual Sunflower festival we decided to go all out and plant 17 different varieties to enjoy. We will have over 3 acres planted in our giant Mammoth sunflower that can reach heights of 12 feet and taller. We also have 1.5 acres planted in a cut flower orange variety which will reach heights between 5 and 6 feet. Our fields are completed with an acre of show garden with 15 different varieties of different heights, colours and bloom sizes for our guests to enjoy.
