This month of September we're proud to spotlight The Licorice Parlour as our Store of the Month.

Almost 14 years ago, Commercial Drive The Licorice Parlour began when the owner made an unexpected decision to rent the former Dutch Girl Chocolates location on Commercial Drive. What started as a “knee jerk response” soon became a beloved destination for licorice lovers!

Before the store even opened, one thing became very clear: the neighbourhood was going to miss its licorice! That realization inspired the decision to call the new shop Licorice Parlour — making it perfectly clear what customers could expect. And it worked! 🍬

Today, the store is known for its incredible selection of imported sweet and salty licorice, along with an amazing variety of European candies, chocolates, and memorabilia. Their old-fashioned approach, extensive product knowledge, and passion for licorice make every visit a little different.

One of their specialties is creating custom candy, chocolate, and licorice bags tailored to each customer's personal taste. And freshness is a priority! Their treats are kept in airtight glass jars, while careful ordering ensures products don't sit around for long. 👌
