What a fantastic turnout we had for this event!

Since we don’t sell tickets, we never quite know what to expect in terms of attendance—but the number of people who came was way beyond our expectations.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude and humility for all the love you showed us. ❤️

A huge thank you to Colleen from Beast Pottery and Paularo LRoz for bringing their beautiful creations to the farm, and to Allicia from Alabaster Jar Photography for capturing the day for us. And thank you to Colleen and Paulette for all the cookies they baked for us! (Those did not last long! 😉)

Thank you to our boys and their cousins for helping out behind the scenes and keeping things running.

And thank you to every single one of you who came to visit—for your comments, hugs, smiles, kind words and encouragement. It felt really good to slow down for an afternoon, step away from the usual farm craziness, and simply connect with you.

We felt all your love. And we are so, so grateful. ❤️

Brushes & Bouquets is happening today!

Come spend the afternoon with us at Sunwheel Flower Farm — wander through the flowers, see Paularo’s painting exhibition, shop Colleen’s beautiful handmade pottery from Beast Pottery, enjoy live saxophone, and take home some flowers or a painting if something catches your eye.

1–5 PM
No admission fee.

Tomorrow afternoon, we're opening the farm for Brushes & Bouquets.

And if you've never been here before, this is your chance to come see what we've been growing all summer. 🌿

Wander through the flower, visit the painting exhibition, browse handmade pottery by Beast Pottery, take home a ready-made bouquet, and enjoy live saxophone by Ruvim from 1–3 PM.

Once a year, we open the farm up for an afternoon that is a little different from the usual.

Come wander through the flower beds, see the painting exhibition, browse handmade pottery by Beast Pottery, pick up a beautiful ready-made bouquet, and enjoy live saxophone by Ruvim from 1–3 PM.

It's a chance to slow down, look around, listen to some music and enjoy the farm at one of the most beautiful times of the year.

There are plenty of places you can go to buy flowers.
There are galleries where you can see art.
There are shops where you can buy pottery.

But once a year, you can come to Sunwheel Flower Farm and experience all of it in one afternoon.

Walk through the flowers.
See the paintings.
Browse handmade pottery.

Listen to live saxophone drifting through the farm.

Hey Flower Friends! 🌸

Come by the farm tomorrow and get your weekly dose of joy and beauty.

Also, it’s lisianthus, sunflower, cosmos, amaranthus and echinacea season. Just so you know. 😉

We’re open as usual tomorrow, August 8th, from 9 am to 1 pm.

Come say hi, wander through the flowers, and take some beauty home with you.

This is what the farm feels like in early August at sunset.

Some rows have already been cleared and put to bed. Others are in full bloom, like these Sunseeker echinacea. And yes... some are full of weeds. That's August on a flower farm.

It feels like we reached the peak of summer in mid-July, and now the season is slowly beginning its descent. But this "downhill" is also when some of the most beautiful flowers of the year take center stage.

The Sunseeker echinacea has become one of our favourites, and florists can't get enough of it. The two new varieties of Phlox paniculata we grew for the first time this year have been an even bigger surprise—they've made people wonder how they ever designed bouquets without them.

And then there are the annuals...

The lisianthus is, without exaggeration, making the world a better place. And the cosmos—without a doubt the best crop we've grown so far—is the perfect finishing touch to the season.

The season may be changing, but there's still so much beauty at the farm right now—and so much more to come. We're beyond grateful to witness it and to share it with you.
