Even in the same greenhouse,
no leaf grows exactly the same.

Some grow bigger.
Some bend toward the light differently.
Some take more time.

Hooray! We are in the process and excited to share our small but very meaningful milestones with you 🌱

Today we are already transplanting part of our lettuce from the baby stage into the teen stage, which means that in about 32 days we will return to store shelves with fresh, local 🇨🇦, eco-grown Fusion Greens lettuce 🥬

Step by step, day by day, we are rebuilding, learning, and becoming even stronger. Thank you so much to everyone for your support, kind words, and belief in us. It truly means a lot to our family 🙌♥️

Today at the Business Summit Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce, I listened to a powerful session by Fahd Alhattab called “The David Playbook: Winning as the Underdog.” 🌟🌟🌟

During the talk, he shared the story of Cliff Young, and honestly, it deeply resonated with me.

A 61 year old farmer entered an ultramarathon surrounded by professional athletes.
People underestimated him.
Some laughed at him.
He did not look like a winner.

But he simply kept moving forward.

And somehow, this story feels very connected to what we are going through right now with Fusion Greens 😊

Behind every small business, there is so much more than people see online.
Sleepless nights. Risk. Hard decisions. Failures.
And the strength to stand up again.

This season has not been easy for us.
We had to make difficult decisions, fully restart our greenhouse, and begin rebuilding many things almost from zero.

But today reminded me of something important.

The winner is not always the one who started perfectly.
Sometimes the winner is simply the one who refused to stop. 😉

Thank you for such an inspiring session and for reminding all small businesses that authenticity, speed, resilience, and community are powerful advantages no large corporation can truly replicate.

Dear friends, customers, and partners,

We want to sincerely let you know that Fusion Greens has temporarily closed for a full restart and reset of our greenhouse operations.

As many of you know, we always strive to provide fresh, high-quality lettuce that we are truly proud of. We are simply too responsible to ignore quality standards when something in the system is not working the way it should.

Because of this, we made the difficult decision to pause production, fully clean and restart our greenhouse, and come back stronger.

We expect to return to the market, store shelves, and the Carp Farmers’ Market in about 1.5 months with fresh, healthy lettuce once again.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support of local farming. It truly means a lot to our family and team.

Friends, we want to be fully transparent with you 🌿

Right now, we’re experiencing a seasonal situation in our greenhouse that is typical for spring.

Due to temperature and humidity fluctuations (when nights are still cold and days start to warm up), calcium doesn’t always reach the tips of the leaves evenly. As a result, you may notice slight browning on the edges.

You might also see a light white residue on the leaves. This is simply morning dew caused by these same temperature changes. It is completely natural.

Most importantly:
🥬 the lettuce is still fresh, safe, and high quality
However, it may not always have that perfect visual appearance.

We know how important that is, and it matters to us too.
That’s why we’re actively working on it:

✔️ improving humidity control
✔️ adjusting calcium balance
✔️ strengthening biological pest control (spring is when pests are most active, and the greenhouse becomes an ideal environment for them)

Today, we even had a full batch returned by a store, and we take that seriously. It’s a signal for us to keep improving and refining our processes.

We sincerely apologize for these temporary inconveniences 🙏
This is a short transition period, and we are already working to stabilize conditions.

Today was a very important and inspiring day in our greenhouse 🌿

Justyna from Global Horticultural Inc visited us, and together we carried out a biological control assessment of our ecosystem.

We truly feel lucky to have her with us now 🫶
Having the ability to consult, look deeper into our processes, and make better decisions for our greenhouse means a lot.

During today’s work, we discovered many interesting solutions that can help us become even better.
What we value the most is that these are biological tools. Natural, smart, and effective.

This is not just about pest control.
It’s about balance.
About building a strong and healthy ecosystem that works together with nature.

👌And today we also delivered a fresh batch of our lettuce to Independent Carleton Place, and FreshCo Carleton Place

Today was a very special day for Fusion Greens 💚
Our lettuce made its first appearance at FreshCo. Carleton Place , and it truly felt amazing.

We received so many positive emotions, kind words, and support from both our loyal customers and new ones. It means more than we can express.

A heartfelt thank you to the store owner and the entire team. You welcomed us so warmly, and we truly appreciate it 🙏

And the best part
Today almost all the lettuce was sold out 😍
So tomorrow we are bringing a fresh new batch.

We also want to congratulate our winner, Monique Lohn 😊
She won a full box of our lettuce, and we just delivered it to her personally.
She said she had never won anything before.
Well, today she did ✨

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

Today feels like a true gift of fate 🫶

Our lettuce has started growing a little faster. The weather outside is getting warmer, and so is our greenhouse. And with that, new opportunities have come.

Many of you have been reaching out, asking us to bring Fusion Greens to FreshCo. in Carleton Place. We couldn’t ignore your voices and we made it happen🫶

Today we met with incredibly kind 😊and open people the owner of FreshCo and the purchase manager. And you know what they said?
Yes, of course. 🌱😀We want your product. We want our customers to have access to fresh, local lettuce.

Friends, this is a very special moment for us 🌟

Tomorrow 11th of April is our very first delivery
⏰ from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

The Fusion Greens team will be in-store come by, say hi, ask questions, and connect with us

And a little bonus 🎁
