Always a pleasure showing for my father-in-law! We’ve had some good luck in the steer wars over the last few years—and today was no different.
First place in our heat of Medium Steers (they’re divided into light, medium, and heavy by weight)!
What I’ll always be most proud of, though, is the hard work, calculation, skill—and most importantly—the eye it takes to not only pick these steers, but feed them so they look their absolute best on show day.
When I look at these animals, I see the calves that Nathan and Peter carefully select from our own herd (because yes—we breed and raise them right here on our farm). They see the potential early on, then build feed rations, cross-reference timelines for growth and finishing, and constantly monitor, adjust, and fine-tune over the months it takes to get them show-ready.
That level of care and precision is what defines everything we do.
What has always been true about my in-laws and my husband is that quality comes first—whether it’s a breeding animal, our beef, or even our strawberries. We want everyone who supports us to walk away with something they trust has been raised by us, fed by us, and something we’re truly proud to stand behind.
At the end of the day, this farm isn’t a hobby or something we do on weekends just to look good and get a banner. It’s a livelihood. A legacy. Built on blood, sweat, and tears.
So thank you to all of our supporters in our community and beyond!
Most of all thank you to my FIL and husband who continue to make me proud to be on the halter for them no matter what ring I’m entering ❤️. Sarah Greeno 🥰
