We have been waiting with great anticipation for this day when we can announce the return of El Balçon! Not only was this one of the first shows we hosted in our barn, it remains one of the highlights of our time on this farm. We’re so excited to invite you all back out on to the farm on June 14th to see this wonderful group of musicians. ‘El Balcón has been active in the vibrant global music scene of Montreal since 2018, producing four diverse albums of original music and touring extensively across Canada and Europe. Their sound features 3 part vocal harmonies embellished by melodies on the violin and oud, all supported by the highly expressive rhythm section of the jarana (folk guitar from Mexico), upright bass and cajon. In their compositions one can hear Balkan rhythms played with Latin American flair, and Middle Eastern modes woven into the distinctive textures of Son Jarocho, the folk music style that originally brought this group together. Their innovative and energetic approach draws influence from Latin America, the Balkans and the Middle East, creating a living folklore rooted in a traditional aesthetic.
El Balcón’s vibrant energy is a festive whirlwind, balanced by a deep and introspective side that leaves no one untouched. Their art breaks down barriers and creates a unifying sense of community. A moment of symbiosis and sharing, a dance in which time seems to stand still.’ Don’t just read about them, come out and experience them in real life in our beautiful century barn.. we’ve included a few clips from their last visit so you catch the vibe…. For tickets: https://locarius.io/events/4001/el-balcon-live-at-big-barn-little-farm We will also have tickets available at our market stall starting next week. Brought to us by

The sun has set on our 2025 season and we couldn’t be more grateful for where we are. This marks the end of our 15th year vegetable farming and our longevity is testament to the unwavering support or our community. We quite literally couldn’t do it without you, just in the same way that our mere existence is based on our dedication and joy of being here for you. This coexistence is why we started this farm all of those years ago and your dedication is the reason we have grown to where we are today and continue to thrive in this community. THANK YOU from the deepest recesses of our hearts. 💕 Looking forward to the New Year and what it has in store for us.. many ideas and visions percolating.. we’ll keep you informed. But not for a little while, going into social media hibernation.. see you on the flip side!
