Asparagus season still rolling along! We need more sunshine and warmth but the field is steady!
We are so excited as well for green / yellow beans - been a long time since we grew them they will be amazing!

I will be picking asparagus myself 🫢 but we will definitely be ordering in Sunday night 🥱😂

Bring on the ☀️!!! Asparagus loves this heat! We start picking at first light - whew it gets warm out there! We have , in the past, turned on our irrigation overhead and may be doing that again soon!
Who loves a before and after pic? Very satisfying!
First pic is before we go down a row and second one after!
When picking it is a multi layer process- you pick what is ready, leave what isn’t but will be and then dead head the spears that will never be what we want !
You have to think quickly . Field maintenance is so important to have healthy producing crowns for this season and beyond!

21 years!?🫢😳 how did that happen !!
Yet here we are entering our 21 farming season!
We are first generation farmers and the learning curve has been steep 😂
We can’t even quite believe it has been that long !
