Fresh locally grown asparagus is the taste of spring in the Okanagan Valley. Armstrong Asparagus Farm on K**bhill Road in Spallumcheen has been growing since 1997. Our asparagus is harvested by hand, and because the spears are snapped above the ground where the stalks are tender You don’t need to cut any off the bottom! If you like the flavor of raw peas, you’ll love the taste of Armstrong Asparag

The vintage car group surprises us each year in June (close to Father’s Day) with a weekend visit. It’s a wonderful sight to see the array of vintage vehicles on the farm.

"Sparrow Grass" is the old folk name for asparagus-used back in the day when the word asparagus felt a little too fancy for everyday conversation. Over time, the nickname stuck, especially in rural communities, giving this spring favourite a bit of charm and history.
