Double duty this week: Harvesting for CSA Harvest Box # 12 (has the summer really gone that fast?) and cookin’ up real fresh meals for the troops at the Caravan Farm Theatre. Delish veggie grill up with produce from Lovebowl Farm and other local growers, and juicy Chicken Kale gluten free house made sausages from the Askew's Foods butcher shop in Armstrong.

‘THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER’ is in rehearsals and opening soon. Pay-What-You-Can tickets for the first few performances, starting at $20 are available now. Bring the whole family!
Better yet, come on down to the Interior Provincial Exhibition & Stampede in Armstrong this weekend, grab a corndog and swing by the Caravan tent to buy your tix right there. Easy peasy. You might even catch a pop-up performance by the artists…

Purple veggies are loaded with vitamins and antioxidant plant pigments - anthocyanins - say that 3 times fast… Good for your heart, brain and cell regeneration.

Putting together orders today for Chef Miranda at the Caravan Farm Theatre. She’s keeping the ‘Voice of the Valley’ company well fed
- the cookshack always smells great when I come by to drop off her veggies. We saw the show last weekend: it is a truly joyous-funny-theatrical-musical-two stepping night under the stars. One more week left of performances - don’t miss this one!

And a special order for Chefs Georgia & Henry from The Clove. This weekend, they’ll be donating their time to create a 7 course dinner with beverage pairings for ‘Dinner Under the Stars’, hosted by the Allen Brooks Nature Centre. Proceeds from the auctioned experience go towards the centre’s conservation and youth education programs. Cool beans.

**After a couple of minutes thinking about it: The Clove is donating their Chefs and good folks donated their hard earned shekels to buy a seat for this fundraising event. So the farm will also donate the produce🤎

ALISA CRAIG ONIONS, BABY SCALLOPINI, RAINBOW CHARD, JAPANESE/LEBANESE/LIL MAE CUKES, GRAFFITI CAULIFLOWER and lots of other fresh tasties at the Kingfisher Farmers Market tomorrow morns.
Lovebowl Farm shout outs to Greencroft Gardens (for their incredibly inspiring farm stand and gorgeous produce). And the savvy little girl across from me with the Lemonade stand who also bakes a mean sourdough loaf AND delish cupcakes.

‘Voice of the Valley’ opens at the Caravan Farm Theatre this week. If you haven’t got your tickets yet, do it! Can’t wait to see it this Saturday night..

Lovebowl Farm has RAINBOW CARROTS, MIXED HERB PACKS and lots of other fresh produce at the Kingfisher Farmers Market this Wednesday morning from 10-12.

My vendor neighbour Shuswap Cider Co. sent me home last week with this insanely delicious Blueberry Cider. If juicy berries and a secco Lambrusco had a lovechild, this would be it. Enjoyed it this weekend on a quickie canoe trip with ma sweetheart. Yum.
Come on out to the market and get some!
